Artist Bio

Gabrielle, a native of Colorado, grew up surrounded by the breathtaking Rocky Mountains, fostering a deep appreciation for nature and the beauty found in creation. After spending her young adult years in Colorado, she moved to Phoenix with her husband, where the desert landscape became a new source of inspiration. The rich colors, layered mountains, and intricate details of desert flora sparked a deeper artistic exploration.

Her journey into the arts began after completing a six-month missions program focused on photojournalism. Inspired to capture the beauty she saw in the world, she turned to film photography, drawn to landscapes and nature. She found joy in highlighting the subtle elegance of an agave plant or a cactus bloom, bringing out their painterly qualities through her lens.

As her artistic vision evolved, Gabrielle sought new ways to express the interplay of color, movement, and texture. Experimenting with different mediums, she discovered fluid art and quickly fell in love with alcohol inks and fluid acrylics. This form of abstract expression allowed her to pour her emotions directly onto the canvas, embracing the freedom and spontaneity of the process.

Through her abstract paintings, Gabrielle captures the untamed beauty of nature, using texture, vibrant hues, and depth, often enhanced by resin. She remains captivated by the way ordinary elements in nature transform into stunning works of art when viewed with the right perspective. Her hope is that her paintings and photographs draw viewers into a world where chaos and simplicity intertwine, evoking a sense of wonder and connection.
